Your path from Shopify to Microcart.

Choose CSV for files you supply yourself, or connect Shopify through the API when available. Then check the imported data and set up your new store.

01

Choose your import approach

Prepare the Shopify exports you need or check your API connection permissions. Decide whether you need order history and which period is accessible.

02

Check a sample import first

Include a simple product and a product with variants in the agreed test import. Compare counts, SKUs, prices and images with your source file. Record and resolve differences before transferring the rest.

03

Build your Microcart store around your plans

Shape your transferred collection with a template and the editor. Set up payment providers, shipping and suitable workflows; review which tasks from your Shopify apps need a new setup.

04

Test and plan your Shopify switchover

Complete a controlled test order through to confirmation. Compare the product, variant, total, shipping charge and payment status with the order in the admin. After switching the domain, check that important old links reach the correct new page.

Check these after the Shopify wizard.

Check data, images, store configuration and links separately. A successful import does not yet mean your store is ready for customers.

Give your Shopify URLs a new destination.

List your /products/ and /collections/ URLs and important pages. Plan suitable new destinations and discuss 301 redirects when a URL changes. Check implementation and links around launch.

Questions about switching from Shopify.

How does the Shopify migration wizard work?

The CSV wizard processes products, collections, pages and customers. The API route can also read accessible order history. Check product text, SKUs, prices, stock, variants, image links and SEO titles after import.

What should I check after the Shopify migration?

Order history through the API depends on Shopify permissions. Standard access covers only the last 60 days; older orders require additional approval. Orders without a customer email are skipped. Customer passwords and payment settings are not transferred.

What happens to my Shopify theme and apps?

The migration wizard transfers store data. Shape your design with a Microcart template and the visual editor. A Shopify theme or app is not transferred as a working component; review functions, workflows and integrations for the tasks you handle today.

How do I compare transaction fees with Shopify?

Microcart charges 0% transaction fees on top of your provider. Shopify may charge third-party transaction fees depending on your plan and setup; these generally do not apply with Shopify Payments. Payment providers charge their own rates in both cases. Compare your actual payment setup.

Can I keep my domain and Shopify URLs?

Include domain management and current URLs in your plan. Check which addresses can stay and which need a suitable new destination. Discuss permanent 301 redirects and test links at launch. Search rankings can change; retaining them is not guaranteed.
